Parents Involved in Community Schools v. Seattle School District No. 1 decision prohibits assigning students to public schools solely to achieve racial integration.

June 28, 2007

In its decision, written by chief justice John Roberts, the court concludes, “The way to stop discrimination on the basis of race is to stop discriminating on the basis of race.”
